The Biodynamic Movement began taking root in the 1930s. Today it is organized with a central office in Milan and regional sections. In 1985, alongside the association—which continues its commitment to cultural, educational, informational, and research activities—Demeter Associazione Italia was established, tasked with protecting the brand, controlling, and certifying farms that produce according to the biodynamic method, verifying product compliance with the International Demeter Standards for Production and Processing. For years, biodynamic agriculture has given fertility to the soil, quality to food, and health to people and animals.
To spread it among farmers and make its products known to consumers and traders, the Association for Biodynamic Agriculture aps organizes courses, conferences, and cultural initiatives. The non-profit association lives and works thanks to the support of its members. For this reason, every membership fee is important to continue disclosure activities. Membership entitles one to participate in events organized by the Association and Regional Sections, receive the Maria Thun Sowing Calendar for free, receive the quarterly newsletter, and get discounts on biodynamic publications.
